Are you interested in improving your wellbeing? Do you want practical guidance on how to make positive changes to your lifestyle and feel more relaxed?
In this course, you will learn about physical exercise, meditation and their benefits on your entire body and mind.
You will learn how to release stress by doing simple yoga poses and breathing techniques.

What can students expect?

At the end of this course, you will be able to:
Recognise stress signs and symptoms and choose techniques for relaxation.
Identify the benefits of yoga on health and wellbeing.
Demonstrate basic yoga poses that increase your strength and help you to relax.
Identify a few basic yoga poses that help you to meditate to calm down.

Teaching method/style?

Various resources will be used during sessions such as presentations and relaxing music.
You will spend most of the time on the mat practising yoga under the tutor’s supervision.

How will the course be assessed?

Regular tutor feedback will highlight achievement and progress. All learners will be asked to complete a short questionnaire about their mood and wellbeing at the beginning, middle and end of the course.

Your tutor will talk to you about what you can do next and we will give you information about other courses you could go on to.
