This course aims at increasing your ability to better manage your financial wellbeing. The course will help you create budgets and tables which in turn assists you in monitoring where your money is going. You will be taught within the classroom with some work required to be completed from home.
What can students expect?
At the end of this course, you will be able to:
Understand meanings of measurement, ratio and proportion
Complete basic calculations and percentages
Plan a budget to help manage your finances
Create basic tables/graphs that help you monitor your ingoings and outgoings
How will the course be assessed?
You will learn using a combination of working in groups and on an individual, one-to-one basis through practical activities and demonstrations. Individual Learning Plans will record your progress and achievement.
What is the progression route?
You will be offered advice and guidance during the course on what you could do next. For example, you could progress to an Entry 3 Maths course, an Entry 3 English course, an Entry 3 qualification in ICT, a Level 1 qualification in ICT or another accredited course.
How long is the course?
5 weeks
Are there any costs?
Free if you are a UK/EU resident, registered unemployed and in receipt of out-of-work benefits.
Otherwise there may be a fee of £150 to pay. Please contact us for more information.
