The tutor will set a variety of tasks and regular assessments and feedback will highlight achievement and progress.
Description
The course will provide a simple hands-on introduction for those who are new to using technology and would like to use a computer to look for work.
The course will offer you the opportunity to gain confidence in using a computer, to learn how to use Microsoft Word to create your CV and how to use the internet, including the JCP Universal Jobmatch service, to find work.
Although the majority of the course will take place on the computer, the class will also offer the opportunity for you to develop your skills, confidence and performance at interview.

A Open an email account
B Receive and send an email with an attachment
C Type your CV in a Word Document
D Apply for jobs online using the JCP Universal Jobmatch service
E Present yourself in a mock job interview
F Search for jobs online
Teaching method/style?
Each student will have their own computer to work on.
Presentations will be made using computers and printed notes. Step by step instruction, with demonstrations where appropriate, will help you grasp the concepts.
