<p>This course is for people that English is not their first language and have little English reading skills. You will learn how to read simple words to help you go about your daily life or at work. You will learn how to read short texts for basic information such as public notices and signs. You will be able to real basic health & safety and transport information. </p>

<p>This course is for people that English is not their first language and have little English reading skills. You will learn how to read simple words to help you go about your daily life or at work. You will learn how to read short texts for basic information such as public notices and signs. You will be able to real basic health & safety and transport information. </p>

<p>You will learn through practical oral and written exercises, in class demonstrations and one to one support from your tutor. Learning will be shared through peer support.  </p>

<p>There is no entry-level requirement for this course. However, we will check your skills before you join the course to make sure that it is the right level for you.  </p>

<p>Completing this course will provide you with the confidence and motivation, and the give you the skills you will need to progress and enrol onto an accredited ESOL course E1 Reading/Writing.  Your tutor will discuss your next steps with you. </p>
