You will learn using a combination of working in groups and on an individual, one-to-one basis through practical activities and demonstrations. Individual Learning Plans will record your progress and achievement.

This course is open to adults who are resident in Lambeth and who are interested in this subject area. Suitable for students who need to improve their communication and reading and writing skills for everyday life.

At the end of this course, you will be able to:
Participate in discussions/exchanges about familiar topics, making active contributions, with one or more people in familiar situations
Read and understand straightforward texts that explain, inform or recount information
Write short texts with some awareness of the intended audience

You will be offered advice and guidance during the course on what you could do next. For example, you could progress to an Entry 3 English course, an Entry 3 qualification in ICT, a Level 1 qualification in ICT or another accredited course.
