What is this course about?
<p>This practical, hands-on workshop is designed to help you feel confident using Microsoft Word for everyday tasks at home or work. You will learn how to create and save documents, print and share your work, and use essential tools such as copy and paste. The workshop will also introduce you to a range of Word features including text formatting, page layout, alignment, and working with fonts. You will explore how to add and edit pictures, shapes, SmartArt graphics and WordArt so that your documents look clear, professional and well presented.</p>
Who is the course for?
<p>This workshop is ideal for beginners who are new to Microsoft Word or for anyone who wants to refresh their existing skills. It is suitable for learners who would like to use Word more confidently for personal, community or work-related tasks.</p>
Any previous experience/qualifications you need to do the course
<p>Learners should have a basic level of conversational and written English and some basic computer skills, such as using a mouse, keyboard and navigating simple menus.</p>
What you need to bring with you
<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Source Sans Pro",sans-serif">Learners must have access to Microsoft word, and a laptop or desktop with good wifi and a webcam.</span></span></span></span></p>
How you will be assessed
<p>Learning will be checked through informal question and answer sessions, group discussion, and learner reflection activities throughout the workshop.</p>
How much studying will I need to do outside the lesson?
<p>No formal study is required outside of the session, although learners are encouraged to practise using Microsoft Word between lessons where possible.</p>
