What is this course about?

<p>This practical and friendly workshop introduces you to Microsoft PowerPoint and helps you build the confidence to create clear, attractive presentations for work or personal use.</p>

<p>You will explore the PowerPoint workspace and learn how to create, open and save presentations with confidence. You’ll discover how slides work, how to add and format text, and how to make your presentations easier to read and more accessible. The workshop also shows you how to improve the look of your slides by applying themes and colour schemes, as well as how to insert pictures, images, tables and shapes to bring your ideas to life.</p>

<p>By the end of the session, you will have the skills needed to create a simple, professional-looking presentation from scratch.</p>

Who is the course for?

<p>This workshop is ideal for beginners who are new to PowerPoint or anyone who would like a refresher on the key features. It is suitable for learners who want to feel more confident using PowerPoint at work, at home or to support learning and presentations.</p>

Any previous experience/qualifications you need to do the course

<p>Learners should have a basic level of spoken and written English and be comfortable using a computer, including using a mouse, keyboard and basic file management.</p>

What you need to bring with you

<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">Learners must have access to Microsoft PowerPoint and a laptop or desktop with good wifi and a webcam.</span></span></span></span></p>

How you will be assessed

<p>Assessment will be informal and supportive, through questions and answers, group discussion and learner reflection during the session.</p>

How much studying will I need to do outside the lesson?

<p>No additional study is required, although learners are encouraged to practise their skills between sessions to build confidence.</p>
