Helping Your Child with Phonics

<p><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:11pt">This taster course is designed to give you an overview of what phonics is and how phonics is taught in school from age 3-7 yrs old. You will learn about Phonics terms such as digraph and  segmenting and how to say the sounds. You will be given ideas and resources that will help develop their child’s reading and writing skills.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">F<span style="font-size:14px">or parents, carers and anyone working with children aged 3-7yrs.</span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">No previous experience is required, however ability to write and understand some English is necessary and some digital skills to allow you to access and use Google Classroom is desirable.  </span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">You must have a tablet or laptop with a working camera that can access Google Classroom.</span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">Please note that this is a live interactive online course for adults, learners will be expected to have their camera on and participate fully at all times.</span></span></span></span></p>
