What the course is about

<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">You’ll gain confidence, new knowledge and skills for yourself whilst learning ways to support develop reading and writing though Phonics.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">This course is designed to help adults understand what ‘phonics’ is and how phonics is taught in school from age 3-7 yrs old. We will explain different Phonics terms such as digraph and segmenting.  You will learn about the six phases of phonics and what aspects are taught in each phase through engaging, interactive activities. Learners will find out about the Phonics Screening check in Year One and will be given ideas and resources to enable them to develop children’s reading and writing skills through phonics.</span></span></p>
