Crochet for Beginners

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">This course is aimed at complete beginners and those wishing to refresh their crochet skills. You will learn how to use crochet tools, create basic crochet stitches, and how read a pattern and graph. Time is allocated to allow you to work on your own small project.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">This course is aimed at complete beginners and those wishing to refresh their crochet skills or learn how to crochet the basic stitches and simple crochet projects such as a granny square.  You’ll learn how to use crochet tools, create basic crochet stitches, and how read a pattern and graph. Time is allocated to allow you to work on your own small project.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">A basic level of conversational and written English is required plus reasonable small motor skills, as you will need to hold yarn and a hook</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">Face to Face sessions: There will be hooks and yarn available for students to borrow. Whatever is completed during the session can be taken home. Tools will need to be returned at the end of the session. If you have your own tools, please feel free to bring them. </span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">Please note we cannot guarantee yarn colours available so if you wish to work with your favourite colour you are advised to bring your own.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">Remote sessions: Students will need to provide a 4-5mm hook, yarn (double knit), scissors.</span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">Through questions and answers, the completion of weekly learner reflection forms and a sample of your work completed during the session.</span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">An hour or two per week to practice skills covered during each session.The amount of time practising is totally up to you but the more you put in, the more you will get out of this course.</span></span></span></span></p>
