NCFE L2 Certificate in Information, Advice or Guidance

<p><span style="font-size:14px"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"><span style="color:black"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">This qualification aims to develop knowledge and understanding of the key principles of information, advice or guidance and for the learner to apply these to their own work context. </span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">The objectives of this qualification are to prepare learners for further training, and to support a role where the learner may give basic information, advice or guidance to others.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"><span style="color:black"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">This qualification is designed for those people who work in, or are looking to work in an information, advice or guidance role such as: </span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"><span style="color:black"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">Careers Advisor, Counsellor, Customer Service Advisor, Debt Advisor, Employment Advisor, Help-desk Advisor, Housing Support Worker, Learning Support Worker, Legal Services Support Workers, Peer Mentors.  </span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">The qualification would be suitable for organisations such as: local authorities, careers advice services, voluntary sector organisations, student services, citizen advice services, housing associations.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"><span style="color:black"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. A good level of conversational and written English is needed to complete this course.</span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"><span style="color:black"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">To be fully funded:</span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"><span style="color:black"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">Learners must be aged 19 or over and a resident in Hertfordshire.</span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"><span style="color:black"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">Either, unemployed* and claiming benefits or earning under the National Living Wage - £25,000 per year.</span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"><span style="color:black"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">Or, do not have a full Level 2 qualification or above (this excludes maths and English). Other L2 exclusions may apply.</span></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">As the course is online, you will need a PC or laptop with good wifi and a webcam or built-in camera. (A mobile device or tablet/ipad alone will not suffice) </span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">This qualification requires a level of commitment, as deadlines for assessment submissions must be met on time, to achieve the qualification.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">You will complete a portfolio of evidence for the 5 units. Assessment will also take place during the classes. </span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">2-3 hours per week outside of the live classes will be required to meet assessment deadlines. </span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Source Sans Pro&#34;,sans-serif">During this course we will talk to you about your next steps which could include attending other courses/workshops such as Presentation Skills, Microsoft office or Team Leading. </span></span></p>
