Maths: Parental Homework Club: Building confidence in Maths, tips for parents

<p>Supporting your children with their Maths</p>

<p>Parents who are struggling to help their children with Maths</p>

<p>You must be aged 19 or over by 31st August 2025 to join a course.</p>

<p>Enrolment is subject to (1) GLA-fundng eligibility being confirmed in respect of residency, income and prior attainment, and (2) a skills check. Don’t worry the skills check, this isn’t an exam. It’s for us to make sure you get on the right course for your level.</p>

<p>You will learn safely in face-to-face classes.</p>

<p>Your class mates and your teacher will give you feedback about your work which will help you improve.</p>

<p>Your teacher will give you feedback on all submitted assignments.</p>

<p>You will be able to give your views in a feedback form at the end of the course or directly to your tutor or a manager during the course. You may also be asked to participate in surveys for funders or Ofsted.</p>

<p>• Learn about and apply strategies used in school</p>

<p>• Learning about how Maths is taught in primary schools and how it is tested</p>

<p>• Learn strategies to support and encourage your child in undertaking Maths examination questions</p>

<p>This course is not exam based, the tutor will assess your progress throughtout the course, by setting you homework, informal assessments and potentially project work</p>

<p>You will need to come to lessons with pens, a ring binder folder, wriitng paper or a notebook. If you have access to yur own PC or laptop, that helps but the sessions will be delivered on our digital equipment.</p>
