What the course is about

<p>After receiving funding to run this course, we have been inundated with requests to run it again and again so we know there is a need.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>You will learn:</p><p></p><ol><li>Describe and list sewing machine basics; what should be in a sewing kit? Learn how to use their machine and make a simple pin cushion</li><li>Sew a patchwork cushion cover using a simple envelope technique&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Describe pattern basics; learn how to ‘read’ a pattern – start work on pinning and cutting out a simple book bag&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrate simple hand-finishing techniques&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Sew buttons, hems and other minor mends and alterations&nbsp;</li></ol><p></p>
