What the course is about

The Kings Cross area is varied and constantly changing. Learn digital photography skills and take photos of the local area, from the shiny to the grimy. You'll experiment with choosing and capturing your image, backgrounds and lighting. You'll learn how to format your images using free and cheap online software. In Stage 1 you'll learn the basics of digital photography and develop a theme for your work. In Stage 2 (January - March), you'll develop your work further, and get ready for exhibition in summer 2025!

Courses may fill up quickly, so enrol online if you can, or come to the first session to enrol and guarantee your place.

Previous experience, knowledge or qualifications

You must be confident in using email, searching online, creating and editing documents, and re-sizing and re-formatting images (e.g. in MS Word). You don't need any experience of photography or photo editing software. If you don't yet have these skills, you should join our Digital Basics or Digital Improvers courses.
