What the course is about

Join lead curator, Julian Harrison, to hear about the British Library’s new exhibition Medieval Women: In Their Own Words. Julian will discuss how the exhibition breaks free from traditional narratives about medieval women, and allows for encounters with personalities both famous and forgotten who tell the story of medieval womanhood. He will explore how some of the stories in the exhibition will be familiar to women today, from the gender pay gap and harmful stereotypes, to access to healthcare and education, as well as challenges faced by female leaders.

Priority will be given to residents of the London Borough of Camden for this workshop, however other residents of the United Kingdom are welcome to apply.
