What the course is about

Safeguarding childing and young people in the community is everyone’s responsibility and we all have a part to play.
If you support children and families informally, are a local resident thinking about working with children, or a volunteer delivering services in the borough, this session is for you. No previous knowledge or experience is needed, just an interest in helping create a safer Camden, where every child has the opportunity to grow up safe, supported, and heard.
During the session, we'll explore:
• What safeguarding is and why it matters.
• How to recognise some of the signs that a child may be at risk of harm.
• How to respond appropriately if you have a concern.
• The importance of passing on information.
