What the course is about

<p>The British Museum was founded in 1753 in a former aristocratic residence on the edge of north London. Over time, this building was demolished, rebuilt and extended to create the current Museum building on Great Russell Street in modern Camden. With plans announced recently to redevelop the western side of the Museum, take this opportunity to learn about the history of this public space and the impact of a growing Museum collection and two world wars on these galleries. This workshop is suitable for all adult learners and uses images and spoken information to introduce, explore and discuss the workshop topic.</p>

<p>Priority will be given to residents of the London Borough of Camden for this workshop, however other residents of the United Kingdom are welcome to apply.</p>
