What the course is about

The Kings Cross area is varied and constantly changing. Learn digital photography skills and take photos of the local area, from the shiny to the grimy. You'll experiment with choosing and capturing your image, backgrounds and lighting. You'll learn how to format your images using free and cheap online software. This course is designed to follow on from Stage 1 (September - December 2024). In Stage 2, you'll develop your work further, and get your work ready to exhibition standard.

Previous experience, knowledge or qualifications

You must be confident in using email, searching online, creating and editing documents, and re-sizing and re-formatting images (e.g. in MS Word). You don't need any experience of photography or photo editing software. If you didn;t join the Stage 1 course, you should be familiar with basic photography concepts and basic image editing software. If you don't yet have these skills, you should join our Digital Basics or Digital Improvers courses.
