Description

Learn how to identify trees even in winter when there are no leaves to help you! The first half of the session is classroom-based. Then (weather dependent) we will explore the grounds of Stoke Lodge for practical experience.

Please bring appropriate outdoor clothing and good footwear.

What can students expect?

Key characteristics and physiology of trees, growth habits and form, ID by fruit, seeds or branch structure, bark. Estimating age and history, environmental impact.

No - this course is not intended for professional gardeners or arborists

What is the progression route?

Learners may wish to choose themed courses (eg : planting styles, indoor landscapes) or one of Jason’s garden design courses.

Learners will learn through discussions with the tutor and other students, and be encouraged to share their experiences.

Refund processing

<li>Refunds for online or telephone enrolments will be made via the original payment method within 14 days of approval. </li>
<li>If you enrolled in the office, you will need to come in with your payment card to arrange a refund.</li>

Transfers

<li>7 days or more before the start date: transfer minus a 10% transfer fee.</li>
<li>Less than 7 days before the start date or after the course has started: no transfer provided.</li>
<li>All transfers are subject to availability.</li>
<li>Transfers between Language levels may be possible with less than 7 days notice, subject to availability.</li>

<li>If we cancel your course, and you wish to transfer to another course this will be free of charge.</li>
