Description

Pruning - Learn the difference between pruning for structural formation and pruning for productivity. This one-day workshop teaches effective techniques, covering both theory and practical work.

The course is taught by an RHS garden designer and former property lawyer… so there’s some ‘gardening law’ involved!

What can students expect?

Plant characteristics & physiology, when to prune for best intended effect, soil science, effect of climate environment on regeneration and growth, choosing the right tools and caring for them. Depending on the weather, part of the lesson may be outdoors so please bring appropriate clothing & footwear.

Learners may wish to choose themed courses (eg : planting styles, indoor landscapes) or one of Jason’s garden design courses.

What should students bring?

Please bring appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear, secateurs, gardening gloves, pruning saw (and loppers though we will share between us).We will not be operating any power tools.

<li>Less than 7 days before the start date or after the course has started: no refund provided.</li>
<li>Enrolments are non-transferable. If you are unable to attend, you will not be able to send another person in your place.</li>

Refund processing

<li>Refunds for online or telephone enrolments will be made via the original payment method within 14 days of approval. </li>
<li>If you enrolled in the office, you will need to come in with your payment card to arrange a refund.</li>

Transfers

<li>Less than 7 days before the start date or after the course has started: no transfer provided.</li>
<li>All transfers are subject to availability.</li>
<li>Transfers between Language levels may be possible with less than 7 days notice, subject to availability.</li>
