Even if you don’t live in a house with a garden, you can still enjoy gardening indoors! From miniature landscapes, balcony gardens to bio-active terrariums, you’ll learn from RHS garden designer Jason Loh how to make the most of your indoor space.

Description

Indoor Miniature Landscapes - Even if you live in a house with a garden, you can still enjoy gardening indoors! We will explore the unique challenges and peacefulness of creating and caring for tiny gardens. Includes saikei (miniature Japanese landscapes), balcony gardens, moss landscapes, terrariums, bio-active vivariums.

What can students expect?

Guidelines for choosing indoor plants, selecting appropriate containers, light levels, moisture control & nutrition, transplantation. We will also cover basic bonsai techniques, tools, toxicity to pets.

Learners may wish to choose themed courses (eg : planting styles, indoor landscapes) or one of Jason’s garden design courses.

Slide presentation and explanation

Learners will be encouraged to share their experiences of their gardens.

Learners will learn through discussions with the tutor and other students, and will be shown a variety of landscaping materials.

If we cancel your course

If you cancel

<li>Less than 7 days before the start date or after the course has started: no refund provided.</li>
<li>Enrolments are non-transferable. If you are unable to attend, you will not be able to send another person in your place.</li>

Refund processing

<li>Refunds for online or telephone enrolments will be made via the original payment method within 14 days of approval. </li>
<li>If you enrolled in the office, you will need to come in with your payment card to arrange a refund.</li>
</ul>

Transfers

<ul>
<li>7 days or more before the start date: transfer minus a 10% transfer fee.</li>
<li>Less than 7 days before the start date or after the course has started: no transfer provided.</li>
<li>All transfers are subject to availability.</li>
<li>Transfers between Language levels may be possible with less than 7 days notice, subject to availability.</li>
<li>Enrolments are non-transferable. If you are unable to attend, you will not be able to send another person in your place.</li>
<li>If we cancel your course, and you wish to transfer to another course this will be free of charge.</li>
