<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif"><span style="color:black">A course for beginners and those with some experience, offering the chance to design and create stained-glass artwork.</span></span></span><strong> </strong></p>

What can students expect?

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif">You will follow a structured course covering all key stages of creating a small, simple leaded or copper-foiled panel—design, cut-line drawing, glass selection and cutting, leading, soldering, cementing, and finishing. Improvers can refine their skills and explore new techniques.</span></span></p>

Late starters allowed?

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif">Yes, however it is recommended you join by the second session to make the most of the course.</span></span></p>

Previous experience required?

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif">This is a Beginners’ course but I<span style="background-color:#fbfbfc"><span style="color:black">mprovers wanting to gain more experience will also be accommodated.</span></span></span></span></p>

What is the progression route?

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif">Learners can re-enrol the following term or join the <strong>“Stained-Glass Summer School<em>”</em></strong>. After completing three terms at beginner level, they may progress to “<strong>Stained-Glass Workshop. Intermediates/Advanced</strong>”<strong>.</strong></span></span></p>

Are there any extra costs?

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif">Yes. Learners will need to purchase materials such as coloured glass, lead, and additional solder and cement for larger panels. Coloured glass can be bought from the tutor or local suppliers. Material costs vary by project scale, but an A4-sized panel typically costs around £30. Fee includes classroom sundries (e.g. paper, masking tape, tracing paper, glass cleaner, kiln shelf paper, two strips of solder, fluxes, white spirit, patinas, glass paints, etc).</span></span></p>

Work set between sessions?

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif">No formal homework is set, but learners are encouraged to research online, develop their sketches and designs, or source materials from local suppliers if they prefer to buy glass directly.</span></span></p>

Teaching method/style?

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif">Formal teaching and demonstrations. Individual support and learning checks and group discussions, books, photos and samples for study.</span></span></p>

Equipment Required

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif">Equipment and tools are provided. The tutor can advise learners who wish to purchase their own equipment. </span></span></p>
