<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">A weeklong Summer School for beginners and improvers, offering an immersive learning experience with plenty of time to develop creativity and skills.</span></span></p>
What can students expect?
<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Beginners will be guided step by step through the process of creating a simple leaded stained-glass panel. Those with some experience can further develop their skills, try new techniques, and work on their own projects. Expect a week of fun and intensive study. </span></span></p>

What is the progression route?
<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Learners can enrol on Wednesday afternoon courses to build their skills and explore new techniques or join a Saturday workshop to learn the copper foil (Tiffany-style) method.</span></span></p>
Are there any extra costs?
<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Yes. Learners will need to purchase materials such as coloured glass, lead, and additional solder and cement for larger panels. Coloured glass can be bought from the tutor or local suppliers. Material costs vary by project scale, but an A3 sized panel typically costs around £55. Fee includes classroom sundries (e.g. paper, masking tape, tracing paper, glass cleaner, kiln shelf paper, two strips of solder, fluxes, white spirit, patinas, glass paints, etc).</span></span></p>
Work set between sessions?
<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">No, but learners may choose to continue to develop their design at home or make a trip to the local stained-glass suppliers.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">2 or 3 different design ideas - these can be in form of doodles, sketches, photographs, pictures from books or magazines. They will act as inspiration and a starting point to for you develop an original design idea to make your stained-glass panel.</span></span></span></span></p>
Teaching method/style?

Equipment Required
<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Equipment and tools are provided. The tutor can advise learners who wish to purchase their own equipment. </span></span></p>
