<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="background-color:white"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><span style="color:#212529">For those new to Tai Chi or wanting to understand the basics of in this fascinating gentle form of exercise, we will learn sets 1-15 of the Chen Style Form, exploring health, strength and balance through good body alignment, relaxation and breathing. </span></span></span></span></span></p>

What can students expect?
<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">A friendly and relaxed class. We will start with gentle warming up exercises and progress through the foundation skills to improve body alignment, breathing and relaxation, balance and coordination. There will be plenty of opportunities to discuss and ask questions. We will learn movements of the <span style="background-color:white"><span style="color:#212529">Chen Style Form</span></span> – this is performed standing, but learners can take regular breaks if needed. All levels of fitness and ability welcome. </span></span></span></p>

What is the progression route?
<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif">To Tai Chi Intermediate class or repeat this class but with some differentiation to acknowledge their experience.</span></span></p>
Work set between sessions?
<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif">Yes, learners will be encouraged to practise in between classes.</span></span></p>
What should students bring?
<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif">Wear comfortable clothing and flat shoes/trainers with some grip. Bring water.</span></span></p>
Teaching method/style?
<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif">Friendly relaxed class with opportunities to chat to other participants and ask questions. Very interactive. Exercises mostly taught by demonstration and explanation, then following the tutor. Some small group work, work in pairs and eventually solo work. Correction by the tutor.</span></span></p>

Refunds and cancellations

We are unable to reimburse the cost of materials you may have bought for the course.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">If you cancel your course booking a week (7 days) or more before the start date we will refund your fees minus an admin charge of 20%.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">If you cancel with less than a week (7 days) before the start date or after the course has started, we will not be able to refund your fees.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Transfers will incur a fee of 10% and must be requested 7 days or more before the start of a course unless you are transferring to another course because your original course was cancelled.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">We are not able to offer refunds due to sickness or ill health.</span></span></span></li>

Refunds will not be given for technical failure of a learner’s home computer or their internet access.</span></span></span></p>
