Pottery For Beginners-Throwing And Pinching

<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Times New Roman&#34;,serif"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif">Inspired by The Great Pottery Throwdown? This course is for you! You will learn the basics of throwing on the pottery wheel as well as the hand-building techniques of pinching and coiling. </span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Times New Roman&#34;,serif"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif"><strong>The groups are small (max 6) allowing plenty of individual attention to each participant. This course will be delivered at St Paul’s Learning Centre.</strong></span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Times New Roman&#34;,serif"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif">Learners will make 2 basic clay shapes on the wheel (incl. preparing, centering, and shaping clay into small basic cylinder and bowl forms). In addition, you will learn how to pinch out forms and how to join them as well as how to combine pinched and thrown forms. Wheels will be used in rotation, with learners having 1 x 15-minute slot per lesson. Please note that the highest size of piece we can fire is 25cm.</span></span></span></p>
