<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif">Led by an experienced tutor you will have the opportunity to continue to learn, apply and extend your watercolour skills and techniques to create vibrant and colourful paintings.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif">Develop your painting style with a range of interesting projects.</span></span></p>

What can students expect?

<p><span style="font-size:16px">This course is based on enjoyment as well as learning; projects are arranged to allow you to have fun and develop your Watercolour Painting as an individual. You will gain/develop:</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:16px">Skills in developing themes i.e. still life, natural forms, landscape, perspective, figures and portrait, animals, contemporary themes, and the built environment</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:16px">Knowledge of composition, colour, ambience and creative methods</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:16px">Related knowledge of watercolour painting theory</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:16px">Various painting skills involving many creative techniques</span></p>

Late starters allowed?

<p><span style="font-size:16px">Yes, but this is a short course, so it is best to join by week 2.</span></p>

Previous experience required?

<p><span style="font-size:16px">Not necessarily – but ‘Improvers’ suggests students have some previous knowledge.  This might be an interest from some time ago – a school subject briefly studied; dabbling a bit now and then; belonging to an untutored group that paints for fun; following watercolour painting on a media website, blog or taking one of the many art-based magazines. If you are considering this course, it is probably the one you need. </span></p>

What is the progression route?

Teaching method/style?

<p><span style="font-size:16px">Demonstration, individual and group tuition and practical work. The tutor suggests projects and brings supporting materials, but students are encouraged to contribute their own ideas and to supply visual research of their own, (i.e. if the subject is ‘The Drama of the Sea’; individuals might like to use photo material from their own holiday in Cornwall rather than that supplied by the tutor).</span></p>

Refunds and cancellations

<ul>

We are unable to reimburse the cost of materials you may have bought for the course.</span></span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:&#34;Times New Roman&#34;,serif"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif">If you cancel your course booking a week (7 days) or more before the start date we will refund your fees minus an admin charge of 20%.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:&#34;Times New Roman&#34;,serif"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif">If you cancel with less than a week (7 days) before the start date or after the course has started, we will not be able to refund your fees.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:&#34;Times New Roman&#34;,serif"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif">Transfers will incur a fee of 10% and must be requested 7 days or more before the start of a course unless you are transferring to another course because your original course was cancelled.</span></span></span></li>
