Description
<p><span style="font-size:16px">Begin learning the best card game for four players. A game of planning, strategy and tactics but also lots of fun, which is played socially and in bridge clubs. This course is for complete beginners with no prior knowledge.</span></p>
What can students expect?
<p><span style="font-size:16px">Bridge is a game for two partnerships at each table, but you do not need a partner to join the class. In class you will learn through demonstration by the tutor, quiz / exercises and practice cardplay. You will play with other class members at your table, so some turn taking may be needed. The course includes free online material including tutor’s video lessons.</span></p>

Late starters allowed?
<p><span style="font-size:16px">It is possible to join late but you may need either a little prior experience or be prepared to do some catch up work from the recommended text book or online material. Each term continues from the previous term, so if you want to join late, you will need to be at a similar stage to the rest of the class. Previous experience required?
<p><span style="font-size:16px">No – this is a course for complete beginners. No previous experience necessary for Term 1.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:16px">After Term 1, each following term continues from the previous term’s learning.</span></p>
What is the progression route?
<p><span style="font-size:16px">Bridge beginners participants can continue on to the next term to continue learning, ie progress from Term 1 to Term 2, and from Term 2 to Term 3.</span></p>
Work set between sessions?
<p><span style="font-size:16px">The recommended text book / workbook has reading and set exercises, consistent with lesson content. Online material, including video lessons may be watched in between classes.</span></p>

What should students bring?

Teaching method/style?
<p><span style="font-size:16px">Screen presentations of topics / theory / quizzes and demonstrations of card play. Card play at each table to practice each new topic.</span></p>

Refunds and cancellations

<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><strong><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">If we have to cancel your course your fees will be refunded in full. We are unable to reimburse the cost of materials you may have bought for the course.</span></strong></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><strong><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">If you cancel your course booking a week (7 days) or more before the start date we will refund your fees minus an admin charge of 20%.</span></strong></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><strong><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">If you cancel with less than a week (7 days) before the start date or after the course has started, we will not be able to refund your fees.</span></strong></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><strong><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Transfers will incur a fee of 10% and must be requested 7 days or more before the start of a course unless you are transferring to another course because your original course was cancelled.</span></strong></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><strong><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">We are not able to offer refunds due to sickness or ill health.</span></strong></span></span></li>

Refunds will not be given for technical failure of a learner’s home computer or their internet access.</span></strong></span></span></p>
