What can students expect?
<p><span style="font-size:16px">During the first sessions, several techniques are introduced: </span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><span style="color:black">Learners are then encouraged to develop more extended projects, through discussion with the tutor. The provision is progressive, returners will be given 1:1 support to develop their ideas and ways of working.</span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><span style="color:black">Both water & oil-based inks are used. There is an etching and relief press available, as well as silk screens. The course is suitable to those new to printmaking and experienced artists who want a fresh input into their practice.</span></span></span></span></p>

What is the progression route?
<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif">Work produced could go towards portfolio for entry into FE & HE courses. It is also possible to make items to sell or exhibit. If printing on fabric, the work will be suitable for clothing, upholstery as well as display.</span></span></p>
Are there any extra costs?
<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif">Yes – if students want to purchase specialist paper from the tutor. If interested in using thermofax screens, images can be made by the tutor for a fee, depending on size.</span></span></p>
Work set between sessions?
<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif">No, but learners often choose to prepare work between sessions. </span></span></p>
What should students bring?

<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif">Learners can come with a completely open mind as to what they will do, or with drawings photos or other resources to use as a starting point.</span></span></p>
Teaching method/style?
<p><span style="font-size:16px">Initially, learners are introduced to a new technique every session, to see what’s possible, what is of particular interest, and how the different techniques work. Some learners choose to experiment, particularly if they are planning to return. Others plan & realise more considered pieces supported by the tutor. The course is progressive and learners returning after one term will be supported on a 1:1 basis. T</span></p>

Refunds and cancellations
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">If we have to cancel your course your fees will be refunded in full. We are unable to reimburse the cost of materials you may have bought for the course.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">If you cancel your course booking a week (7 days) or more before the start date we will refund your fees minus an admin charge of 20%.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">If you cancel with less than a week (7 days) before the start date or after the course has started, we will not be able to refund your fees.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Transfers will incur a fee of 10% and must be requested 7 days or more before the start of a course unless you are transferring to another course because your original course was cancelled.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">We are not able to offer refunds due to sickness or ill health.</span></span></span></li>

<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">When attending an online course, it is a learner’s responsibility to ensure they have adequate internet access before the start of a course. Refunds will not be given for technical failure of a learner’s home computer or their internet access.</span></span></span></p>
