Laurel, an accomplished artist and mentor, helps artists examine their methodology and determine what will aid their artistic development. Sometimes, this requires dedicated time, supportive feedback, and a sympathetic environment. Other times, it may need the courage to make a creative leap. Laurel excels at identifying what is important to you, providing support to help you set your own goals, and being that &#039;critical friend&#039; who assists you in achieving them. </span></span></p>

If trying a new medium, they should be able to do so independently with guidance from the tutor.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif">There is no formal progression route. However, these workshops are useful for anyone wanting to produce a portfolio for college, an interview, or an exhibition.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif">Yes. Learners bring their own materials, which should be those they typically use. (NO OILS please). A nominal studio fee applies if using the tutor&#039;s materials-for example if using something they do not routinely work with.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Arial&#34;,sans-serif">Learners will be able to discuss their working methods and support needs with the tutor before the workshop. It is assumed that learners will work independently at home between workshops. Laurel can recommend development work or set challenges tailored to each learner to help them progress.</span></span></p>

They create paintings and drawings based on their ideas or tutor stimuli, with support, encouragement, and constructive feedback.
