Description

A creative and relaxed Tetra Pak printmaking workshop, exploring how recycled cartons can be transformed into unique and striking prints. Ideal for beginners or those wishing to develop their printmaking skills while creating original hand-printed artwork.

What can students expect?

Learners will discover the creative art of Tetra Pak printmaking in this hands-on taster session. 

You will be introduced to the tools and techniques needed to create an original printing plate using recycled Tetra Pak cartons. 

Through tracing, mark-making, inking, and printing, you will use a press to produce your own unique prints to take home, display, or frame. 

Ideal for beginners and anyone wanting to explore an accessible and environmentally friendly printmaking process.

Previous experience required?

No. This workshop is suitable for all abilities.

What is the progression route?

Learners can enrol on the “Lino Printing”, “Intaglio & Monotype Printmaking” or other printmaking courses and workshops at Stoke Lodge.

Are there any set books?

No. Fee includes materials and equipment.

What should students bring?

<ul>
<li>Old clothes or an apron, as inks will be used</li>
<li>Photos (up to A5 size) of holidays or pets, etc. Buildings and animal close-ups work particularly well. Reference images will also be provided</li>
<li>A willingness to experiment and create</li>
</ul>

Teaching method/style?

Each stage of the process is demonstrated, with individual support provided as needed, alongside opportunities for discussion and reflection to develop ideas and skills.

Equipment Required

See list above. In addition, learners wanting to experiment with colour are welcome to bring watercolour paints, or colouring pencils.

If you cancel

<li>7 days or more before the start date: refund minus a 20% administration fee.</li>
<li>Less than 7 days before the start date or after the course has started: no refund provided.</li>
<li>Enrolments are non-transferable. If you are unable to attend, you will not be able to send another person in your place.</li>
</ul>

Refund processing

<li>Refunds for online or telephone enrolments will be made via the original payment method within 14 days of approval. </li>
<li>If you enrolled in the office, you will need to come in with your payment card to arrange a refund.</li>
</ul>

Transfers

<ul>
<li>7 days or more before the start date: transfer minus a 10% transfer fee.</li>
<li>Less than 7 days before the start date or after the course has started: no transfer provided.</li>
<li>All transfers are subject to availability.</li>
<li>Transfers between Language levels may be possible with less than 7 days’ notice, subject to availability.</li>
<li>Enrolments are non-transferable. If you are unable to attend, you will not be able to send another person in your place.</li>
<li>If we cancel your course, and you wish to transfer to another course this will be free of charge.</li>
