Description

A welcoming one-day botanical printmaking workshop, ideal for beginners or those wishing to develop their printmaking skills, with opportunities to explore nature printing techniques, colour, texture, and composition while creating a collection of unique hand-printed greeting cards using leaves and flowers under tutor guidance.

What can students expect?

Creating a series of beautiful botanical greeting cards is a relaxing and creative project that celebrates the beauty of nature.

Using leaves, plants, and flowers, you will learn how to use oil-based printing inks and heat-transfer techniques to capture intricate natural details and textures. 

As you create a collection of unique cards and decorated envelopes, you will develop printing and design skills while producing thoughtful handmade cards to share with friends and family.

What is the progression route?

Learners can enrol on the “Lino Printing”, “Intaglio & Monotype Printmaking” or other printmaking courses and workshops at Stoke Lodge.

Are there any extra costs?

No. Fee includes materials and equipment.

What should students bring?

<li>A fresh cutting of a favourite plant to print from; flat, detailed specimens work best</li>
<li>Old clothes or an apron, as inks will be used</li>
<li>A willingness to experiment and create</li>
</ul>

Each stage of the process is demonstrated, with individual support provided as needed, alongside opportunities for discussion and reflection to develop ideas and skills.

Course Cancellations and Refunds

If we cancel your course

If you cancel

<ul>
<li>7 days or more before the start date: refund minus a 20% administration fee.</li>
<li>Less than 7 days before the start date or after the course has started: no refund provided.</li>
<li>Enrolments are non-transferable. If you are unable to attend, you will not be able to send another person in your place.</li>
</ul>

Refund processing

<ul>
<li>Refunds for online or telephone enrolments will be made via the original payment method within 14 days of approval. </li>
<li>If you enrolled in the office, you will need to come in with your payment card to arrange a refund.</li>
</ul>

Transfers

<ul>
<li>7 days or more before the start date: transfer minus a 10% transfer fee.</li>
<li>Less than 7 days before the start date or after the course has started: no transfer provided.</li>
<li>All transfers are subject to availability.</li>
<li>Transfers between Language levels may be possible with less than 7 days’ notice, subject to availability.</li>
<li>Enrolments are non-transferable. If you are unable to attend, you will not be able to send another person in your place.</li>
<li>If we cancel your course, and you wish to transfer to another course this will be free of charge.</li>
