Description

A welcoming intarsia crochet workshop for learners with some crochet experience who wish to develop their colourwork skills, with opportunities to learn techniques for working with multiple colours and creating clear colour-blocked designs while building confidence in a supportive learning environment. Taught using the right-handed technique.

What can students expect?

Intarsia crochet is a popular colourwork technique that allows you to create bold shapes, images, and patterns using blocks of colour. 

Using yarn bobbins and careful colour changes, you will learn how to manage multiple yarns to achieve neat, professional-looking results. 

As you create your own decorative wall hanging, you will explore design placement, colour transitions, and finishing techniques. You will also discover how to transform your own ideas into crochet charts, giving you the skills and confidence to create original intarsia designs for future projects.

Late starters allowed?

No.

Previous experience required?

Yes. Learners need to know the basics of crochet (double crochet stitch).

What is the progression route?

Learners can enrol on “Crochet Plus” courses and “Crochet On Saturdays” workshops at Stoke Lodge.

Are there any extra costs?

No. Fee includes hook and yarn.

If we cancel your course

If you cancel

<li>7 days or more before the start date: refund minus a 20% administration fee.</li>
<li>Less than 7 days before the start date or after the course has started: no refund provided.</li>
<li>Enrolments are non-transferable. If you are unable to attend, you will not be able to send another person in your place.</li>

Refund processing

<li>Refunds for online or telephone enrolments will be made via the original payment method within 14 days of approval. </li>
<li>If you enrolled in the office, you will need to come in with your payment card to arrange a refund.</li>

Transfers

<li>Less than 7 days before the start date or after the course has started: no transfer provided.</li>
<li>All transfers are subject to availability.</li>
<li>Transfers between Language levels may be possible with less than 7 days notice, subject to availability.</li>
