Garden Styles: Cutting Gardens

<p><span style="font-size:16px">One in a series of short day-courses designed to give you more information about specific aspects of garden styles. Focusing on flowers for cutting we have an opportunity to look at both border design and plant selection for home decoration.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:16px">For colour and scent in the house nothing beats home-grown cut flowers with zero air miles.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:16px">We will cover planning a small cut flower area and stocking it with attractive and easily grown flowers and foliage. We won’t be able to include flower arranging or starting a cut flower business.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:16px">Presentation by the tutor: slides will be shown to illustrate certain plants or design ideas.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:16px">Learners will learn through discussions with the tutor and other students, and will be shown a variety of plants to handle.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:16px">Learners will be encouraged to share their experiences of their gardens if they have one.</span></p>
