<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">There is so much more we can do to make our gardens wildlife friendly than leaving a patch of nettles – this short course aims to introduce you to some of the ways in which making small changes can make a big difference when it comes to improving habitats for wildlife and encouraging biodiversity. </span></span></span></p>
What can students expect?
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The course will be informal and aimed at amateur gardeners. We will discuss our experiences (both good and bad) of bringing wildlife into the garden. We will consider some new ideas – and explode a few myths – on plant choices and garden maintenance. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Although this will be classroom based we will walk in the gardens at Stoke Lodge (subject to weather) to take a closer look at some of the habitats to be found there.</span></span></span></p>

Teaching method/style?

<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="background-color:white"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><span style="color:black">There will be slides of plants. We will walk into the garden and discuss plants, compost making and similar subjects suggested by the learners.</span></span></span></span></span></p>
Refunds and cancellations

We are unable to reimburse the cost of materials you may have bought for the course.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">If you cancel your course booking a week (7 days) or more before the start date we will refund your fees minus an admin charge of 20%.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">If you cancel with less than a week (7 days) before the start date or after the course has started, we will not be able to refund your fees.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Transfers will incur a fee of 10% and must be requested 7 days or more before the start of a course unless you are transferring to another course because your original course was cancelled.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">We are not able to offer refunds due to sickness or ill health.</span></span></span></li>

Refunds will not be given for technical failure of a learner’s home computer or their internet access.</span></span></span></p>
