Description

A course suitable for artists of all skill levels—from beginners aiming to build a strong foundation, to experienced painters looking to refine their techniques and explore more advanced methods.

What can students expect?

You will develop the confidence and skills to create captivating watercolour paintings that express your unique artistic vision. Your tutor will provide tailored guidance and support to help you achieve your artistic goals. By the end of the course, you will have gained a range of new techniques and leave with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Late starters allowed?

Yes, but this is a short course, so it is best to join by week 2.

Previous experience required?

No.

What is the progression route?

Learners can re-enrol on Elham’s weekly courses or Saturday workshops to develop skills and confidence.

Are there any extra costs?

Yes, learners supply own materials.

Work set between sessions?

There is no homework set specifically, but the tutor may provide feedback on anything learners choose to do between sessions.

What should students bring?

· Watercolour paint set, brushes and palette

· Watercolour paper (Cold Press (NOT) 300g/m² - 140lb recommended) stretched on wooden board and reference picture already transferred/sketched on it and ready to paint

· Gummed tape (water activated)

· Sponge

· Drawing pencil (2H) and eraser

· A4 colour copy of reference picture

· Spray bottle

Teaching method/style?

Formal teaching and demonstrations in a supportive environment. Throughout the sessions, learners receive one-to-one tutor support, regular learning checks, guidance, and feedback. Additionally, learners have the opportunity to benefit from their peers' work.

<li>1 ruling pen (Artcoe recommended)</li>
<li>1 roll of masking tape</li>

Course Cancellations by Us

<li>If we cancel your course, your fees will be refunded in full.</li>
<li>We cannot reimburse the cost of any materials you may have purchased. </li>

Cancellations by You

<ul>
<li>If you cancel 7 days or more before the course start date: Refund issued minus a 20% administration fee.</li>
<li>If you cancel less than 7 days before the start date or after the course has started: No refund will be issued. </li>
</ul>

Transfers

<ul>
<li>Transfers must be requested at least 7 days before the course start date.</li>
<li>A 10% transfer fee applies.</li>
<li>Transfers due to our cancellation of your original course are free of charge. </li>
</ul>

Illness and Absence

<ul>
<li>No refunds are available for non-attendance due to sickness or ill health. </li>
</ul>

Refunds are returned via the original payment method:
