Description
<p><span style="font-size:16px">This 4-day course offers feedback and encouragement to experienced artists and experienced learners who would like to progress their acrylic and watercolour painting to the next level. Please contact the tutor to check this course is suitable for you.</span></p>
What can students expect?
<p><span style="font-size:16px">Laurel is an experienced tutor who will work with you in relation to your own work and your own objectives. She will encourage and challenge. You will work independently supported by 1:1 advice.</span></p>
Late starters allowed?
<p><span style="font-size:16px">No. There is a group session on Monday that all learners need to attend.</span></p>
Previous experience required?
<p><span style="font-size:16px">Yes. You need to be accomplished in your paint medium. You will be expected to work independently at times.</span></p>
What is the progression route?
<p><span style="font-size:16px">This course is a stand-alone course; however, many learners also attend the Space for Creativity weekend workshops. Laurel will get to know your needs and help you develop your practice. If you are building a portfolio for college application Laurel will be able to support you.</span></p>
Are there any extra costs?
<p><span style="font-size:16px">Yes. Learners will supply own materials.</span></p>

What should students bring?

<p><span style="font-size:16px">· Tablecloths for two tables Easels and drawing boards are provided. Speak to Laurel before the start of the course to establish what you will need.</span></p>
Teaching method/style?
<p><span style="font-size:16px">Laurel will help you identify what you need to do and will give individual advice. You will receive concentrated 1:1 sessions during the course. You will be encouraged to identify how much support you need. There is also the opportunity to get on with your work uninterrupted, or to receive support and encouragement to get you over a creative hurdle. Laurel will contact you before the summer school to discuss your needs and to ensure she is prepared.</span></p>
