<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif">The tutor will provide projects covering a wide range of subject matter including portraits, landscapes and still lifes, or learners are welcome to bring along their own projects too.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif">He will explain and demonstrate techniques to help you get the most out of the course and really develop your oil painting skills. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif">This course will be delivered at Stoke Lodge but will move online if necessary.</span></span><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">This will be a fun, interesting and friendly class. </span></span></p>

What should students bring?

A couple of softer synthetic brushes are useful for blending as well</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">An A4 or A3 pad of oil painting paper (I recommend the A3 Seawhite oil painting pad, the one with the purple cover)</span></span></span></li>

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">I do not advise buying paint sets from places such as Lidl, Aldi, The Works etc. as they will not be of the quality needed to get the results you will want. If you are not sure what brand to buy for brushes and colours, I recommend the Winton range by Windsor & Newton as a good quality range for beginners. Also, the Georgian range by Daler Rowney.</span></span></p>

Teaching method/style?
<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif">The tutor will provide personal critiques for students as they work with demonstrations as appropriate or needed.</span></span></p>

Refunds and cancellations

We are unable to reimburse the cost of materials you may have bought for the course.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">If you cancel your course booking a week (7 days) or more before the start date we will refund your fees minus an admin charge of 20%.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">If you cancel with less than a week (7 days) before the start date or after the course has started, we will not be able to refund your fees.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Transfers will incur a fee of 10% and must be requested 7 days or more before the start of a course unless you are transferring to another course because your original course was cancelled.</span></span></span></li>

Refunds will not be given for technical failure of a learner’s home computer or their internet access.</span></span></span></p>
