Description

This one-day workshop will give experienced colourists an increased understanding of watercolours and will enable them to paint more confidently. The tutor will set an appropriate pace to ensure everyone in the group can get the most out of the day. Reference pictures are provided.

What can students expect?

Deepen your artistic journey with this inspiring watercolour workshop. The tutor will discuss step-by-step 'How’, and ‘Why’ various techniques are used from the palette to the paper depending on the subject matter and the desired effects. Every stroke is shown and explained in real time. You will learn how to create unique paintings using specific techniques in an enjoyable and creative environment. 

This course will be delivered at Stoke Lodge.

Late starters allowed?

No.

Previous experience required?

Yes. It is preferable for learners to have previous experience to at least intermediate level.

What is the progression route?

Learners can enrol on Ellie's weekly courses or Saturday workshops to develop skills and confidence.

Are there any extra costs?

Yes. Learners supply own materials.

<li>Spray bottle</li>
<li>Graphite transfer paper </li>

Teaching method/style?

Demonstrations and explanations in a supportive environment. The tutor will talk through step-by-step ‘How’, and ‘Why’ various techniques are used.

Refunds and cancellations

<li>If we have to cancel your course your fees will be refunded in full. We are unable to reimburse the cost of materials you may have bought for the course.</li>
<li>If you cancel your course booking a week (7 days) or more before the start date we will refund your fees minus an admin charge of 20%.</li>
<li>If you cancel with less than a week (7 days) before the start date or after the course has started, we will not be able to refund your fees.</li>
<li>Transfers will incur a fee of 10% and must be requested 7 days or more before the start of a course unless you are transferring to another course because your original course was cancelled.</li>
<li>We are not able to offer refunds due to sickness or ill health.</li>
</ul>

 

If you are due a refund you must contact the office within 3 months of the course to arrange payment as we do not keep card details.

When attending an online course, it is a learner’s responsibility to ensure they have adequate internet access before the start of a course. Refunds will not be given for technical failure of a learner’s home computer or their internet access.
