Description

This course offers a structured approach for post-beginner painters looking to take their acrylics to the next level.

What can students expect?

Friendly and supportive classes where you will receive guidance, demonstrations and help with your work. 

Improve your confidence to create more challenging work, whilst developing your own individual style of painting. Come and be inspired.

This course will be delivered at Stoke Lodge but will move ONLINE if necessary.

Late starters allowed?

Yes, but it is best to join by week 2.

Previous experience required?

Yes. Some basic knowledge is required, ideally, you will have completed a beginners course.

What is the progression route?

Re-enrol on the course the following term or join the Acrylics-Improvers course.

Are there any extra costs?

Yes. Learners supply own materials.

Work set between sessions?

No, but practice is encouraged.

What should students bring?

<li>Own materials, tutor will advise on new materials to buy if needed</li>
<li>An apron or old shirt to protect your clothes</li>
<li>Two water containers (jam jar or large yogurt pot)</li>
<li> Masking-tape or drawing clips or bull-dog clips</li>
</ul>

Tutor demonstrations to help guide you and develop your own ideas.

Stable internet connection, a tablet or PC and ability to use ZOOM if the course moves online.

Refunds and cancellations

<ul>
<li>If we have to cancel your course your fees will be refunded in full. We are unable to reimburse the cost of materials you may have bought for the course.</li>
<li>If you cancel your course booking a week (7 days) or more before the start date we will refund your fees minus an admin charge of 20%.</li>
<li>If you cancel with less than a week (7 days) before the start date or after the course has started, we will not be able to refund your fees.</li>
<li>Transfers will incur a fee of 10% and must be requested 7 days or more before the start of a course unless you are transferring to another course because your original course was cancelled.</li>
<li>We are not able to offer refunds due to sickness or ill health.</li>
</ul>

 

If you are due a refund you must contact the office within 3 months of the course to arrange payment as we do not keep card details.

When attending an online course, it is a learner’s responsibility to ensure they have adequate internet access before the start of a course. Refunds will not be given for technical failure of a learner’s home computer or their internet access.
