<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Part 5 B will continue to explore various ethical, political and metaphysical concepts, to illuminate their various perspectives and their implications in our current testing times. </span></span></span></p>
What can students expect?
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">This course will be an Intellectually stimulating journey across various philosophical topics with fascinating discussions about knowledge and the ultimate meaning of life. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">It will include an examination of important questions about the meaning of life, lived love and its implication in our world today. The course will venture into some of the prominent eastern approaches to philosophy as well as the impact of other cultures to philosophy. Keep questioning your knowledge of reality, technology and explore the unknown including the past, present and future of outstanding human thoughts. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The learning experience is meant to stimulate and keep the mind active. </span></span></span></p>
Late starters allowed?
<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Yes,</span> <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">if there are still places available, but please check with the tutor via the Stoke Lodge office first.</span></span></p>
Previous experience required?
<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">No. You only need to have a sense of wonder, curiosity and desire to know. You do not need previous experience of Philosophy, but having done Part 1 to 4 would be an advantage.</span></span></p>

Work set between sessions?
<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">No but learners will be recommended to do some reading or watch some podcasts. This is optional.</span></span></p>
What should students bring?
<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Pen and paper, and an open mind, ready to ask questions.</span></span></p>
Teaching method/style?
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">- Presentation of ideas by the tutor.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">- Discussion in small groups and discussion in the larger group.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">- Listening to selected sections of podcasts.</span></span></p>
Refunds and cancellations

<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">If we have to cancel your course your fees will be refunded in full. We are unable to reimburse the cost of materials you may have bought for the course.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">If you cancel your course booking a week (7 days) or more before the start date we will refund your fees minus an admin charge of 20%.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">If you cancel with less than a week (7 days) before the start date or after the course has started, we will not be able to refund your fees.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Transfers will incur a fee of 10% and must be requested 7 days or more before the start of a course unless you are transferring to another course because your original course was cancelled.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">We are not able to offer refunds due to sickness or ill health.</span></span></span></li>

<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">If you are due a refund you must contact the office within 3 months of the course to arrange payment as we do not keep card details.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">When attending an online course, it is a learner’s responsibility to ensure they have adequate internet access before the start of a course. Refunds will not be given for technical failure of a learner’s home computer or their internet access.</span></span></span></p>
