Description

On this course you will make a fabulous berry basket from locally sourced willow.

What can students expect?

To learn the creative potential of willow, how to source it, how to prepare it, the different types and what works best for what project. 
Weave your own willow berry basket, perfect for collecting homegrown produce, foraging for berries, or a stylish eco-friendly option for popping to the shops. 


The course is for anyone who would like to work with willow, novice or experienced learners alike.

What is the progression route?

Further willow workshops to develop skills in all aspects of willow weaving.

Are there any extra costs?

Materials cost : £15 cash per student, payable to the tutor on the day.

What should students bring?

secateurs, stanley knife, old clothing or an apron, as willow is bent and shaped against the body and this can sometimes be messy. Please also bring a packed lunch.

Teaching method/style?

Practical, demonstration then guided step by step practical application.

Refunds and cancellations

<ul>
<li>If we have to cancel your course your fees will be refunded in full. We are unable to reimburse the cost of materials you may have bought for the course.</li>
<li>If you cancel your course booking a week (7 days) or more before the start date we will refund your fees minus an admin charge of 20%.</li>
<li>If you cancel with less than a week (7 days) before the start date or after the course has started, we will not be able to refund your fees.</li>
<li>Transfers will incur a fee of 10% and must be requested 7 days or more before the start of a course unless you are transferring to another course because your original course was cancelled.</li>
<li>We are not able to offer refunds due to sickness or ill health.</li>
</ul>

If you are due a refund you must contact the office within 3 months of the course to arrange payment as we do not keep card details.
