<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="background-color:white"><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif"><span style="color:#1d1d1b">This stimulating course aims to encourage you to speak more freely in Italian by developing your speaking and listening skills and thus reinforcing your confidence. The topics covered will deal with more advanced vocabulary and grammar, and the conversations and debates will lead to a greater understanding of Italy and Italian culture.</span></span></span></span></p>
What can students expect?
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The course will consist of activities to enable students to improve their fluency, expand vocabulary and knowledge of grammar.</span> </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Learners should expect to engage in conversation and use more advanced grammar to enable them to use the language with confidence.</span> </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">There will be revision exercises and games to practice various tenses and other grammatical points.</span> </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Listening practice will be done by using a variety of media.</span> </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Students will be encouraged to read magazine and newspaper articles and be able to talk about current events.</span></span> </p>

Late starters allowed?
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Yes, provided late starters can work at the same level as the rest of the class at the time of joining.</span> </span></span></p>

Previous experience required?
<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="background-color:white"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><span style="color:black">Students should have completed courses at Level 1 and Level 2 A, B and C, or have studied at GCSE or equivalent level at some time in the past, ideally for approximately four years. </span></span></span></span></p>
What is the progression route?

Are there any extra costs?

Work set between sessions?
<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="background-color:white"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><span style="color:black">Yes. Some homework will be set every week, to enable learners to reinforce what they have learnt during each session.</span></span></span></span></p>
What should students bring?
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">A pen and paper, and perhaps, an A4 ring binder for handouts and photocopies.</span></span></span></p>
