For learners who have attended the February 'Italian for Beginners’ or a similar basic ‘survival’ Italian language course. This continuation course will extend the range of vocabulary, knowledge of grammar, idioms, pronunciation, and cultural background knowledge.

Description

This course is suitable for learners who have had approximately 10 hours of study of Italian.

This course is a continuation of the February Italian for Beginners. The course is not suitable for complete beginners.

What can students expect?

Learners can expect to learn the basics of the Italian language through the four different skills - reading, listening, speaking and writing. Especially, after the Easter break, there will be an opportunity to go through some revision for those students who were enrolled in the February course.

Late starters allowed?

Yes, it will be possible to do some revision and catch-up work.

Yes, approximately 10 hours of study.

What is the progression route?

It is possible to enrol on an Italian course at Level 1

Are there any extra costs?

The textbook "Il Nuovo Affresco Italiano A1" costs about £20, but it is optional

Work set between sessions?

A small amount of homework is set at each lesson.

What should students bring?

Pen, pencil and notebook.

Teaching method/style?

A variety of teaching styles to suit and adapt to most people in the class. Pair-work, speaking, listening, reading and a bit of grammar.

Equipment Required

Stable internet connection, a PC or tablet if the course moves online.
