Italian Level 1B - Beginners Plus

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&#34;Calibri&#34;,sans-serif">This course is suitable for students at post-beginner level who have studied the language to a limited extent in the past or students who would like to refresh previously acquired basic Italian.</span></span></p>

<p>Learners can expect to get a good thorough knowledge of basic Italian to use in daily routine situations.</p>

<p>They will learn about all basic aspects of Italian and to express themselves with increased confidence. Learning will happen through practical activities involving all four skills: reading, speaking, listening and writing.</p>

<p>The course is suitable for students at post-beginners’ level who have studied the language to a limited extent in the past (app 60 hours) or students who would like to refresh previously acquired fairly basic Italian.</p>

<p>Yes, provided late starters can work at the same level as the rest of the class at the time of joining. </p>

<p>Italian Level 1 B Beginners Plus Continuation </p>

<p>Yes. Short homework will be set every week, in order to enable learners to reinforce what they have learned during the sessions.</p>

<p>A pen and paper, and perhaps, an A4 ring binder for handouts and photocopies.</p>

<p>A dictionary would be useful, but is not essential.</p>

<p>~ Listening comprehension: eg listening to CDs, clips from DVDs, the internet, the  </p>

<p>   tutor, other students </p>

<p>~ Reading comprehension: eg reading short texts or stories in class and at home </p>

<p>~ Pair work, small group work, whole class work, etc </p>
