<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">This course aims to enable you to communicate in French in everyday situations. It will revise and consolidate your knowledge of French at lower intermediate level and introduce new structures and vocabulary gradually. You will build up your confidence in all four skills, with the emphasis on speaking and listening, as well as learning new grammar and vocabulary.</span></span></span></p>
What can students expect?
<p><span style="font-size:16px">The aim of the course is to develop previously acquired basic French to boost students’ confidence in understanding and speaking French, coping with routine and also less predictable everyday situations and learning to maintain a social conversation.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:16px">Students will revise some grammar and expand vocabulary, and there will be practice in conversation, asking questions and improving listening and reading comprehension skills.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:16px">Learning will happen through practical activities involving all four skills: reading, speaking, listening and writing.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:16px">This course will be delivered at Stoke Lodge but will move to online delivery if necessary.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:16px">Yes, provided late starters can work at the same level as the rest of the class at the time of joining.</span></p>

Previous experience required?
<p><span style="font-size:16px">Yes, learners should have completed beginners' courses at level 1 A and B, ie have learnt French for app 120 hours</span></p>

Work set between sessions?
<p><span style="font-size:16px">Yes. Some homework exercises will be set every week, in order to enable learners to consolidate what they have learned during the sessions</span></p>
