Description

A course for learners looking to advance their sewing skills after completing the "Everything You Need To Know About Sewing For The Beginner - Part 1" course or a similar beginner-level course.

What can students expect?

You will work on various projects, starting with a snood and fingerless gloves, followed by a lined tote bag with a zip. For the final project, you will choose from options like trousers with a zip, a top with buttons or a zip, or a simple jacket. Each project builds skills, such as sewing with knitted fabrics and inserting zips. 

The tutor provides guidance on patterns, fabrics, and notions, helping you gain confidence and independence in sewing.

Late starters allowed?

Yes, but learners must join by week 2 at the latest.

Previous experience required?

Yes. This course is for learners who have completed the Everything You Need To Know About Sewing For The Beginner-Part 1 course or similar.

What is the progression route?

Other sewing courses at Stoke Lodge.

Are there any extra costs?

Yes. Learners will need to provide everything for their final project (i.e. pattern, fabric and notions-thread, zips, buttons, etc). Fee includes materials for the first 2 projects.

Work set between sessions?

Learners may need to complete projects at home if sessions are missed, but support is always available to help them finish.

Transfers

<li>A 10% transfer fee applies.</li>
<li>Transfers due to our cancellation of your original course are free of charge. </li>

Illness and Absence
