<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Take your sewing skills to the next level! This course is for learners who have completed the Everything You Need To Know About Sewing For The Beginner-Part 1 course or similar. The course is project based and learners will make <span style="color:black">a snood and fingerless gloves, a lined Tote bag with zip. The final project will be an item of clothing i.e. a pair of trousers, top or simple jacket.</span></span></span></span></p>
What can students expect?
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><span style="color:black">Learners will develop their skills with each project. For example, they will learn how to sew with knitted fabrics while making a snood and gloves. Making a lined Tote bag with inserted zip will teach learners how to decorate items and encourage creativity. </span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><span style="color:black">Learners will select their own final project from a given list, i.e. trousers with zip, or top with buttons/zip or a simple jacket. The tutor will advise and support learners when selecting pattern, fabric and notions. This will help learners develop confidence in making choices about styles and fabrics and lead to independent sewing. </span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Bring your own sewing machine and manual as stitches and machine feet will be explored. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><span style="color:black">This course will be delivered at Stoke Lodge.</span></span></span></p>

Are there any extra costs?

Learners will need to provide everything for their final project (i.e. pattern, fabric and notions-thread, zips, buttons, etc). Fee includes materials for the first 2 projects. </span></span></span></p>
Work set between sessions?
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Learners may need to finish projects at home if they miss sessions. Learners are always supported to complete projects.</span></span></span></p>

Teaching method/style?

Refunds and cancellations
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">If we have to cancel your course your fees will be refunded in full. We are unable to reimburse the cost of materials you may have bought for the course.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">If you cancel your course booking a week (7 days) or more before the start date we will refund your fees minus an admin charge of 20%.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">If you cancel with less than a week (7 days) before the start date or after the course has started, we will not be able to refund your fees.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Transfers will incur a fee of 10% and must be requested 7 days or more before the start of a course unless you are transferring to another course because your original course was cancelled.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">We are not able to offer refunds due to sickness or ill health.</span></span></span></li>

Refunds will not be given for technical failure of a learner’s home computer or their internet access.</span></span></span></p>
