Description

This Intermediates Flower Arranging course is a natural progression for learners who have completed a Beginners’ course. It is also ideal for those looking to refresh and enhance the skills they have gained from previous experience. It is a fun and supportive course with professional floristry techniques, tips and tricks to help you get the best out of your designs. 

Enrolments for our floristry courses and workshops close 7 days before start date to allow tutor to source quality flowers. Book early to avoid disappointment

What can students expect?

Using the best flowers and foliage the season has to offer, you will explore environmentally friendly flower arranging techniques both old and new, as well as new floral mediums. Each week, you will take home a beautiful arrangement you have crafted.

Late starters allowed?

No.

Previous experience required?

A basic understanding of handling and arranging flowers is desirable but not essential.

What is the progression route?

One-day workshops.

Are there any extra costs?

Yes. The cost for flowers and materials for the course is £120 per person. Payment to be made by cheque or card directly to the tutor during the first lesson.

Work set between sessions?

No.

What should students bring?

<ul>
<li>Secateurs or general-purpose scissors and sharp knife </li>
<li>Bucket </li>
<li>A container such as a decorative, watertight plant pot (the kind you might purchase for a houseplant) approximately 18-20cm across and 16cm high</li>
<li>Apron and small plastic storage container (to carry arrangement home and raise the height of your design on desk when standing up)</li>
<li>£150 for materials and flowers payable directly to the tutor</li>
</ul>

Teaching method/style?

Informal style, a demonstration followed by a facilitated discussion

Equipment Required

See list above. In addition:

Week 2: a bowl like a large cereal bowl 18cm in diameter (plain colour if possible)

Week 4: a tall plant pot like an orchid pot approx. 16cm tall and 12cm wide (watertight)

Refunds and cancellations

Course Cancellations by Us

• If we cancel your course, your fees will be refunded in full.

• We cannot reimburse the cost of any materials you may have purchased.

Cancellations by You

• If you cancel 7 days or more before the course start date: Refund issued minus a 20% administration fee.

• If you cancel less than 7 days before the start date or after the course has started: No refund will be issued.

Transfers

• Transfers must be requested at least 7 days before the course start date.

• A 10% transfer fee applies.

• Transfers due to our cancellation of your original course are free of charge.

Illness and Absence

• No refunds are available for non-attendance due to sickness or ill health.

How Refunds Are Issued

• Refunds are returned via the original payment method:

• Booked online or by phone - Refund to the card used.

• Paid in person at Stoke Lodge - Please bring your payment card to the office.

Online Course Access

• Learners are responsible for ensuring they have suitable internet access and equipment before the course begins.

• No refunds will be issued due to technical issues with a learner’s own internet or computer.
