Description

A course for learners with some flower arranging experience looking to take their floristry skills to the next level, offering a structured approach to developing techniques, confidence, and design skills. Enrolments close 7 days before the start date to allow the tutor to source quality flowers, so early booking is recommended.

What can students expect?

Using the best flowers and foliage the season has to offer, you will explore environmentally friendly flower arranging techniques both old and new, as well as new floral mediums. Each week, you will take home a beautiful arrangement you have crafted.

Late starters allowed?

Previous experience required?

Yes. A basic understanding of handling and arranging flowers is helpful.

What is the progression route?

Learners can re-enrol the following term or enrol on one of the one-day workshops.

Are there any extra costs?

Yes. Flowers and materials cost £160 per person for the course to be paid directly to the tutor by card or cheque at the first session.

Work set between sessions?

No.

What should students bring?

<li>Secateurs or scissors and a sharp knife</li>
<li>Bucket</li>
<li>Watertight plant pot (approx. 18–20cm wide, 16cm high)</li>
<li>Apron</li>
<li>Small plastic container (for transporting your arrangement and raising your design while working)</li>
</ul>

Teaching method/style?

Teaching will be informal, with demonstrations followed by facilitated discussion.

Week 2: Large bowl (approx. 18cm diameter, plain colour if possible)

Week 4: Watertight plant pot (approx. 16cm high, 12cm wide) such as an orchid pot

Course Cancellations and Refunds

If we cancel your course

If you cancel

<ul>
<li>7 days or more before the start date: refund minus a 20% administration fee.</li>
<li>Less than 7 days before the start date or after the course has started: no refund provided.</li>
<li>Enrolments are non-transferable. If you are unable to attend, you will not be able to send another person in your place.</li>
</ul>

Refund processing

<ul>
<li>Refunds for online or telephone enrolments will be made via the original payment method within 14 days of approval. </li>
<li>If you enrolled in the office, you will need to come in with your payment card to arrange a refund.</li>
</ul>

Transfers

<ul>
<li>7 days or more before the start date: transfer minus a 10% transfer fee.</li>
<li>Less than 7 days before the start date or after the course has started: no transfer provided.</li>
<li>All transfers are subject to availability.</li>
<li>Transfers between Language levels may be possible with less than 7 days notice, subject to availability.</li>
<li>Enrolments are non-transferable. If you are unable to attend, you will not be able to send another person in your place.</li>
<li>If we cancel your course, and you wish to transfer to another course this will be free of charge.</li>
