Description

A course for learners with some flower arranging experience looking to take their floristry skills to the next level, offering a structured approach to developing techniques, confidence, and design skills. Enrolments close 7 days before the start date to allow the tutor to source quality flowers, so early booking is recommended.

What can students expect?

Enhance your floristry skills through more intricate techniques and designs, creating beautiful autumn-inspired arrangements that reflect the colours and textures of the season. You will explore both traditional and contemporary eco-friendly approaches, work with a variety of floral materials, and develop the confidence to create more sophisticated designs. Each week, you will take home a completed arrangement of your own.

Previous experience required?

Yes. Some experience of flower arranging and handling is helpful.

What is the progression route?

Learners can re-enrol the following term or enrol on one of the one-day workshops.

Are there any extra costs?

Yes. Flowers and materials cost £160 per person for the course to be paid directly to the tutor by card or cheque at the first session.

Work set between sessions?

No.

What should students bring?

<li>Sharp knife</li>
<li>Bucket</li>
<li>Glass or china fruit bowl (preferably footed)</li>
<li>Apron</li>
<li>Small plastic container (for transporting home and raising your design while working)</li>

Teaching method/style?

Teaching will be informal, with demonstrations followed by facilitated discussion.

Equipment Required

See list above. In addition:

<li>Week 1: Ceramic plant pot (no holes), approximately 18–20 cm wide and 16 cm high</li>
<li>Week 2: Vase</li>
<li>Week 3: Round glass or ceramic dish for holding water, approximately 30 cm across</li>
</ul>

The tutor will provide reminders each week.

Course Cancellations and Refunds

If we cancel your course

<li>You will receive a full refund of course fees.</li>
<li>We are not responsible for any additional costs, such as materials already purchased.</li>

If you cancel

<ul>
<li>7 days or more before the start date: refund minus a 20% administration fee.</li>
<li>Less than 7 days before the start date or after the course has started: no refund provided.</li>
<li>Enrolments are non-transferable. If you are unable to attend, you will not be able to send another person in your place.</li>
</ul>

Refund processing

<ul>
<li>Refunds for online or telephone enrolments will be made via the original payment method within 14 days of approval. </li>
<li>If you enrolled in the office, you will need to come in with your payment card to arrange a refund.</li>
</ul>

Transfers

<ul>
<li>7 days or more before the start date: transfer minus a 10% transfer fee.</li>
<li>Less than 7 days before the start date or after the course has started: no transfer provided.</li>
<li>All transfers are subject to availability.</li>
<li>Transfers between Language levels may be possible with less than 7 days notice, subject to availability.</li>
<li>Enrolments are non-transferable. If you are unable to attend, you will not be able to send another person in your place.</li>
<li>If we cancel your course, and you wish to transfer to another course this will be free of charge.</li>
